I would like to designate certain storage areas for specific goods, i.e. one for smelted gold bars, one for foods, one for building supplies, etc. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Clicking on a specific item gives a red box around it and nothing else happens unless you use the Store Everything button, in which case the previously red button is now green. Or how do you turn off items when using the "Store Everything" button.

Putting the green box around it should be how to do it. If it has the green button it will specify that item. Anything with a red gets excluded. I just removed it from my computer so unfortunately I can't go check. The only thing you really need to store in #3 is gold bars. In #4 you need to store EVERYTHING! :(

The red box around the item means that only that particular item will be stored in that storage area, so stop clicking after that :)
If all storage areas designated to one item are full, those items will be stored in normal storage areas again as usual, so it's just a priority thing. Unfortunately you cannot store let's say two different items in one storage area.

Is there any way to prioritize items that are just lying around. All those planks and stones remaining from dismantled buildings occupy space, while storage areas a filled directly from carpenters, quarries and mines. In S4 i can, thankfully, use thieves to move around annoying items, but it doesn't seem like i can use the same trick in S3.
