mchlwlcx22: I just purchased settlers 2 gold edition from gog that comes with the map editor. Can someone tell me how to create a map and where to put it so i can play it on unlimited play? I want to build something with ports so I can build ships. Please help!!!
You can't build maps with ports in the editor. These are scripted in the campaign, and these scripts are not in the editor.
Apart from that, i'd say you try all the pretty self expaining tools in the editor and use your imagination, and you will make some awesome maps. Just don't forget you need about 3 times as much coal as gold and iron (because iron needs 2 coal)
As from where to put the map, I have no idea. But how about creating a forum entry here on GOG where everyone can share his or her self made maps?
