Anyone know?

I had the game on Origin before owning it on GoG, but the Origin one freezes everytime I quit the game and the map overlay is bugged. Thats why I want to switch to the GoG version.

It found my other saves and loaded them without issue
Not sure about map overlay; there was no freeze on exit, it could be related to the DRM; lots of games hang on exit. But all GOG games [ no drm] seem to have no issue
