Recently announced for PS5, the update is also coming to Steam for PC users, but still no sign of it here on GOG. Will the GOG version receive the update too at some point in the future?
This trailer shows the gog logo at the end so I would assume so.

Didn't even notice that. Cheers!

Good eye! Thanks.

Private Division must've forgotten to mention it on their FAQ: "...for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, or Windows Store), can upgrade..."

Those minimum specs...I7 6700? WTH? The original version asks for a 3000 series! Unless this game now looks like next gen Unreal 5 game, I don't understand these specs...
We're getting a upgrade on GOG too ? or just the full spacer edition to buy.. again ?

Do those who buy Space's Choice Edition also get the Original Version of the Non-Mandatory Corporate-Sponsored Bundle?
Just making 100% sure, the game DOES come with the DLCs, yes?

I haven't got around to playing it yet. How is it a downgrade?

Supposedly, performance is a total mess on PC and consoles - yes, even on really high-end PC's.
Some don't prefer the new lighting and textures, which some feel elim's the artistry from the original version.

Also note, Virtuos did this version. Virtuos is the same company that did the "meh" port of HZD for PC which was botched on its Day 1 PC release...in which Sony needed to call in both Guerrilla and Nixxes to massively improve performance on it - and yes, both of them did fix it HZD up quite a bit.

EDIT:
Obsidian apologized for the issues people are having w/ this port, even though supposedly they had nothing to do w/ this version of the game.

Oof! There were performance issues with the original release, so I assumed the devs would take the time to make sure things went smoothly for round two. Looks like they tried to clean up a mess by making another mess.

Thanks for the info.

as in forcing you to set graphics to low or medium to achieve what was previous perfectly fine on ultra just for a bit of crispy texture and maybe better lighting.

i could not believe it but i played it for almost half an hour and was true: broken downgrade dlc.

I don't think Obsidian had anything to do w/ this Remaster/Port of TOW, as they're busy w/ other stuff.

Obsidian is probably too busy w/ Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 to worry about whatever cash-grab attempt Private Division was doing & trying to pull off here w/ The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition.

Private Div should've probably hired someone else other than Virtuos to port TOW & Remaster it, as this crew also did the HZD port that needed fixing. Guerrilla and Nixxes had to fix PC port of HZD, since it was a technical mess, performance-wise.

Private Div recently laid off a ton of people, per Take-Two doing a whole re-organization across all their companies - https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/take-two-confirm-layoffs-affecting-private-division-despite-exponential-growth-in-recent-years
