Hi,

There was a new patch for Strife on Steam just a few days ago, v1.3 I think....Is this supposed to come to the GoG version as well?

Version 1.3 added the galaxy achievements and some minor bug fixes. This is and has always been 1.3.

Cool fact, thats the version on gog right now. for once the gog version is ahead of the steam version! :D

Yes, the Steam update is merely for catching up with the GOG version.
