There is much to be appreciative when it comes to this game. One of the things that stand out to me are the updates; they are measured, thoughtful as well as timely. The most recent patch (1.05) was simultaneously released on Steam as well as GoG.

For a number of reasons, the GoG forums for this game are not as active as on steam. However, if there is some one on the developing team that is observing, please know that there are people that are paying attention and are grateful for it.
