Can someone help me figure out where the heck these save files go? I've been tinkering with it for a few minutes now trying to resume my old TLJ game but no luck so far.

I bought GOG edition of Deamfall: The Longest Journey.

Your per-chapter save files are made up of pairs of *.tlj and *.tga files.

My save files are located not in user's AppData/Application Data folder, but in the program folder: "GOG Games/saves/checkpoint.sav"

And the size is also different. Mine is 287KB while your tlj files are 719KB.

Since you posted on gog.com forum, you must also have gog edition of the game. I am afraid gog.com modified their save file structure, 'cos I bought it later than you do.

These saves are for The Longest Journey (the first game), not the sequel Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.

Good to see this thread's been posted in not too long ago. However, in case anyone else was interested, thought I'd bring it back up. Thanks to OP for sharing these! I have a bad habit of accidentally picking the "right" dialogue option that cuts through the side-stuff, so this was of great use to me.

Gazoinks: I don't suppose you have any saves for Dreamfall? I was just going to continue playing it and my save directory is completely empty. No idea why.

Yumi: Since every once in a while someone requests a gog compatible save file for a chapter, I've made an archive with all of my save files starting with chapter 2, organized per chapter.

I'm not a subscriber and this will disappear eventually, so it would be nice if someone who has 6.02 MB of web space made a back-up copy. In case it disappears and you need it, please pm me to upload it again since chances are that I won't see your request here.
