My Dreamfall Chapters still shows v4.0.3.0 (Open the Settings of Dre.Ch.)

its a minor update (bug fixes), i bet it will be a part of the bigger language update we will have shortly.
at steam companies have direct access to their update site, here it works a bit different cause gog needs to build an installer. maybe thats the reason for a short delay sometimes and why we dont get betas at gog.
in the past we got all updates here too, so im sure this will not change.

plus: the 17th was a thursday... today is sunday. no updates at weekends

I'm kind of hoping that GOG would release the patch today.

I certainly hope that GOG isn't waiting any language patch before they release this, because 4.1.1 is going to be the last patch before January.

This patch breaks my game. I can play Book 4 just fine without it, but once I apply it, I can't get past the loading screen. Rolling back the update fixes the issue.

Could you send us a Support ticket about this with your system information and the output_log.txt for the game? You can find the game's output log in the location that the game is installed in a folder named "Dreamfall Chapters_Data" :)

That log should be able to tell the developers what's is going on with that update :)

Sure, I've just sent it. Glad to do my part in improving this game! I haven't encountered any problems with the unpatched version of Book 4 so I'll just continue playing that one.

I applied the patch, now I can't load my games any more (loading screen never vanishes).

Odd. I haven't experienced any loading problems with 4.1.1 (on my Win 8.1 64bit desktop). But it seems that this loading issue isn't an isolated incident. I hope that they manage to fix it soon.

Are the two of you playing a new game or are you using an old save? Perhaps the issue here is the saves may not be compatible?

It's the save from a new game started when Dreamfall: Chapters was first released. Each time a new Book came out, I just loaded the final save from the previous one. Episodic games don't work without save compatibility, otherwise we'd have to start anew with each new instalment.

I've tried both; two saves in Book 1 and one save from Book 4. Same result :(
