What's the problem with the Iris Pro GPU?

There's a warning on the page, but I haven't seen any discussion anywhere of what the problem was, only a year-old post that says "Just make sure you are not running an Intel Iris Pro graphic card."

Unfortunately, Apple has been moving to Iris Pro for most of their machines (like in the new 4K iMac).

Does this warning still apply to the current, Unity 5 version?

I really don't know.
There are still some grafic glitch in mac version (also with nvidia 650m and intel 4000), but I cannot test on a iris pro.

I am playing it with my MacBook Pro 13 (2015) with HD6100 Iris graphic and it works, but not very smooth. It is independent on the graphic quality (low or mid) seems to be the same in 1280 resolution....it works, but smooth is a nother thing :-/
But there are no crashes or else - everything seems to work - but I am still in the middle of the game ;-)...

I've scanned the entire support section of the Red Thread Games forum, but I couldn't even find a mention of Iris Pro cards specifically. Where did you see that warning?

It may not run particularly well, but I'm convinced it'll run.

You can find it on the main page of the game at gog.com - on the right side of the page, where you can find the system requirements.

It seems to be updated now.

Today RTG issued another Steam patch (probably following quickly on GOG) that comprises e.g. this fix:

"Fixed a reflection probe issue for Intel Iris graphics cards on MacBooks"


I think that finally does settle the issue whether the game can or should be played on those cards! :) :)
