Jonesy89: Just so long as they deliver a game that ties up all the dangling plot threads from Dreamfall and make us less bitter about that cliffhanger ending. Personally, I'm just glad that they scrapped that episodic nonsense; they already hit us with one cliffhanger, the last thing they need is an opportunity to pull a Valve and fall behind on releasing episodes that could have just as easily been compiled into a single game.
stinusmeret: Based on the AMA, major plotlines will be resolved as this game will conclude Zoë's story from Dreamfall, but there might be tiny cliffhangers as they're not done with the sage itself, so I'm hopeful :)
Oh good grief... Look, I'm glad they are making a sequel and all, but these people already pulled the whole sequel-baiting stunt in dreamfall, a sequel to a game that was older than the hills in internet years and banked on fan loyalty resulting in them getting the funds to do a sequel, and we all know how that turned out. Now, they are doing the same thing over again, seemingly forgetting that the last time they tried to deliver a deliberately incomplete sequel to a (relatively) ancient game, it wound up backfiring in their face. Maybe kickstarter patrons will be more forgiving of this and give them a second chance if TLJ 4 ever gets pitched, but I've had enough; it's bad enough that the developers seem to be pulling a Robert Jordan by extending the series for no discernible reason, but failure on their part could easily result in the series being incomplete forever.
Hell, at least Wheel of Time got finished because a guy saw some money potential in taking up Jordan's mantle, but the danger here is that fans will be so pissed and resultingly distance themselves from the game (however correct a response this might be remains to be seen) that no sane software developer would take on the project. Bottom line, unless you are operating under a videogame production schedule equivalent to the Lord of the Rings movies, sequel-baiting, particularly for this series, is unwise.
