Blinkin89: Weird, I just came back from my work and expected to see the new 1.19 update here as GOG has a testing period of 24 hours. Seems like they found something wrong?
There are currently game-breaking troubles: locations that repeatedly reset to their initial states allowing unlimited loot and items also disappear or teleport to different locations.

Here are some of the recent bug report titles from Long Dark public bug database:
- Cargo Boxes vanish in on Timberwolf mountain. And Cargo Boxes are locked again in the Tail Section.
- playing in milton. when I leave items in front of Grey mother's fireplace, they disappear. So far, jerry can, a whole lot of coal and wood and some food stuffs.
- Duplicating glitch for all harvestable plants/sapplings
- Items are teloporting on carter hydro dam
- My items disappeared in the Pleasant Valley Farmhouse Basement
- Pleasant Valley Farmstead Basement resetting
- All items have vanished in CH base
- Lower Dam location resets
- Inside of trailer refreshed, new loot appears
- House interiors duplicating
- Loot Refresh, Items teleported
- PC - Survival - Loot Refresh
- Items reset in farm house basement
- PC - Survival - Pleasant Valley Farmstead's Basement refresh after sleeping
- Disappearing wood
- Survival v1.19 - Items teleporting to Carter Dam
- Xbox: Jackrabbit Island house reset. Items are moved to Rural Crossroads house.
- Pleasant Valley Farmstead Basement Resetting
- disappeared items still not back after update
- Dropped items disappear
- Moose hide disappeared from Marsh Ridge Cave
- Milton House Bug
- Coastal House's on Coastal Highway have been reset, my run is ruined
- Hybernia log house item respawn bug
- Items dissapear near grey mother hearthstone Rugged Sentinel
- Skins & guts disappeared
- House reset in pleasant valley after last update
- Items dissapear when dropped Where grey mothers chair was
- Pelts droped on ground dissapearing.
- Able to loot building twice if entering by different doors
- Items desapearing infront of chimney (Custom mode, MILTON)
- Houses reset to default
- All supplies missing
- area in front of fireplace in old mother's home is eating items in survival mode
- PV basement reset to unexplored state

I am highly interested in the customized difficulty settings and Mountain Town region for the survival mode, but the bugs that cause items to disappear can ruin survival mode situations that have significant amount of game time in them. So in my opinion it is better to wait for fixes from Hinterland.
Aah I did read some of this bugs on the official forums. But I didn't realised everyone was experiencing them in such a great amount.
Makes sense.

Update just came through on GOG. I am almost scared to boot up game though due to the bug issues previously discussed.

But at the same time I am super excited. I guess it wouldn't hurt to make a new survivor in Voyager or Custom Difficulty to look around hope I get lucky and not touch my old saves till hotfixes come out.

At least the Pleasant Valley Farmstead basement bug and Milton house bug both exist in the version now available on GOG.

I think you should contact GOG for help. 1.12 has been on GOG for a long time and they just updated to 1.19.

I hope you get it all sorted out.

I was hoping maybe it had been patched after all. I didn't encounter any houses resetting or any other bugs yet. Sorry to hear you have, I hope you game wasn't messed up too badly.
Hopefully they will hotfix soon and the hotfixes will be on GOG in a timely fashion.

Wow it still appeared, that's interesting.
I'll might try a game tomorrow. Else we'll wait for the hotfixes. :)

I gave it a try earlier today, made a new custom save. Haven't encountered any problems yet., although I made sure not to use Grey Mother's house though as it was one with issues. They only thing I saw in game I wasn't sure about was there were a couple nights were the sky was a hazy light green. But perhaps that was a weather thing I just never encountered before.

I sorted it out :)
Older patches are no longer available on GOG.
I uninstalled game ( was soooo careful NOT to delete save files :), installed again with new installer ( already 1.19),
works like a charm..... although :
i have a feeling it works slower on same settings and same machine.
If you ever doubt about your save you can do a backup. On a Windows machine the save files can be found here: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Hinterland\TheLongDark
Replace username with the name of your user of your computer. :)

It would appear we are getting a hotfix at this very moment.


Edit: Long Dark now updated to 1.21. So I think we should be on par with Steam now for updates.
