GOG has updated the game. This fix isn't needed anymore!!!

Sorry about all the steps, but I can't legally distribute the changed file.

0) Don't have the game running!
1) Download https://gofile.io/d/kg0AQ0 (ignore any advertisements please) ( I have nothing to do with that site, but I couldn't get the file to attach on the forum, so I uploaded it there)
2) Copy it to the folder that contains this game.
3) Right click the file and go to properties. At the bottom is an unblock checkbox. Please select/check that and press Ok.
4) Open a command prompt (not DOSBox!)
5) Navigate to the folder that contains the game (with CD)
6) Enter the following commands (without the A) and B) )
A) ren BSAMPLES.CAT BSAMPLES.ORG
B) resample.exe BSAMPLES.ORG BSAMPLES.CAT
7) Optionally: open dosbox_legacy_rot_single.conf and search for
:launcher
cls

change that to
:launcher
mixer SB 200:200
cls

8) enjoy the game!
(Step 7 increases the volume of the sound effects which may add to the immersion effect. (recommended))

How to undo it:
1) Remove bsamples.cat
2) Rename bsamples.org back to bsamples.cat
3) If you did step 7, then remove that one line from dosbox_legacy_rot_single.conf

For anyone new to command prompt that may be typing "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\The Legacy Realm of Terror". You can right click and paste this in minus the quotation marks.

Unfortunately, the file no longer seems to exist at the location provided, is there somewhere else I can get it?

The file might have been deleted due to lack of downloads :(
Wasn't aware of this restriction.

Since the files are quite small in size, maybe you could use Dropbox or Googledrive to store/share the files?

I have used dropbox for that in the past and then my account got some restrictions as I was distributing (a potential) virus.
Maybe they stopped doing that.. (flagging an exe as virus)

It's not about the size. I could host it on my homepage, but didn't want to keep having the file available on my homepage incase I want shuffle things around. (for example somebody will find this thread in 5 years). Will think about it.

The mixer line (mixer SB 200:200), while adding to the atmosphere of the main game, is the cause of some audio glitches in the intro (and possibly the outro).

It might better to add the mixer line to the legacy.bat file before the call to legship
and add a mixer SB 100:100 after it

However I don't know if this fixes the outro or other movies, as I have only checked the intro.

Indeed, the fix has been added to the main build. MIXER SB 200:200 line is no longer needed and should be removed from .conf file.
