Dear GOG team,

There's an obvious scratch audible in the 12th track "Memories" at 1:44 that certainly doesn't belong there. I'd hereby like to request an investigation for errors in your version of the soundtrack to this game (that is, the version downloadable from GOG.com) and a consequent reupload of the fixed version.

Thanks!

Why don't you then?

Hi, did you manage to get a clean version of that track eventually?

I contacted GOG's support a while ago about this and they told me they would look into it, but the FLAC version of the track currently available through GOG is still damaged.

And the MP3 version of the same track is also damaged at the exact same moment - no glitch/scratch but there's a gap instead.

So, both FLAC and MP3 files are bad :)

I'll try and post on the dev studio's forum I guess.

Sadly, I haven't received a response to my request. I don't know what the problem is, should be really easy to fix. I edited the damaged track myself eventually with Audacity, although due to the application's limits, this gave me a 16bit file instead of the original 24bit one. Still better than that damaged mess, really does a lot to spoil an otherwise startingly beautiful track. Maybe if more people start pestering GOG about it, something can be accomplished. *hinthint*

FYI, Audacity supports exporting 24-bit FLAC files. After picking FLAC as the type there is an option to switch between 16-bit or 24-bit.
I tried and posted the same message in the "Help & Support" section on their forum, but apparently my message has to be approved before and it's been awaiting moderation for a week now.

I found out that they have a Bandcamp here. The file is not damaged there. So I recorded the audio from that page, and fixed the damaged part of the FLAC file and exported it in FLAC 24-bit.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll send it to you.
