Why has the GOG version not received the update the Steam version did earlier this year?

The latest GOG build is from 2021-08-31.

The latest GOG build is from 2021-08-31.
Looks like we got an update yesterday (on Galaxy only currently but hopefully it will be available in the offline installers as well soon).

The game version is now v2.18.0.4324r. Maybe this matches the latest version on Steam as well? (It would make sense but I don't own the game on Steam and cannot verify).

All is good. The developers emailed me personally and explained their intention to bring the GOG version up to par with Steam.
I can't know the full truth, but seems to me like no one simply bothered to ask for it (well, before I did *pats himself on the back*)
