I have a 1920x1080 screen and when I try to launch this, it goes out of range. Lowering my screen resolution at desktop doesn't fix this. Any ideas how to fix this?

Enter 'winsetup' in your game folder. Try to add filters - should solve problems with hi-res monitor.

I tried all the different drivers and filters through winsetup and none of them work. It says the requested adapter mode is not working. I tried running setup again and it didn't do anything.

Maybe you should ask Mark (Mods on GOG forum), the publisher for help?
Sorry to hear that. The game is designed for 800x600 res, and needs graphic drivers that can drop down to that res.

When you have it set to Graphics filter: None, what does it say as Resolution (just above that) ?

"800x600" or something else, higher figure perhaps?

As far as I'm aware it's all about whether your graphic drivers can support 800x600 or not. Would you know if you are successfully running other games in 800x600? Or what happens in other games if you try and drop them to 800x600 res mode? I might be able to investigate a bit further with any answer to those two questions.

regards!

Sorry I'm late in responding. When graphics filter is set to none, the resolution says 800x600.

It's possible that my graphics driver don't support 800x600. When I tried to change my screen resolution to that, it goes out of range just like it does when trying to run the cat lady.

Though the game works fine if I run in windowed mode.
Out of Range is a refresh rate error, not resolution.

Meaning that the game is forcing a certain refresh rate that your monitor/display doesn't support.

For example, I used an HDTV as my monitor and it has a fixed refresh rate of 60hz. Any game that forces the refresh rate to be higher than that gives the Out of Range error.

There's probably a way to force the game to run in whatever refresh rate your display can handle but someone else will have to help you there.
