at the moment I want to buy the standard edition. Will it be possible to upgrade the standard edition to premium or platinum edition later?

I think it depends on the game or it depends on the amount of time that has passed. I just looked at my Pillars of Eternity 2 game seeing if I could upgrade it and it had no option. However I then looked at my Tyrrany and it had an option to purchase the premium editions. I think after a little bit of time has gone by the put the premium editions up for sell for all games.
