The original DOS version from 1993, as well as the Windows release from 1997 were only released in English.
The only version that has a full German translation (German text as well as all audio and video), is the 1993 version for the Philips CD-I. There are many fans out there who are trying to implement and convert the German files from the CD-I version into the PC version, but none have succeeded thus far.

that's strange, the CD version of my father was always in German and that was definitely PC, CD-I we have never had.

There is no official German release of "The 7th Guest" for PC, only for Philips CD-i.
Though there was a German boxed PC release with "The 7th Guest" and its successor "The 11th Hour" combined, but only "The 11th Hour" was in German. "The 7th Guest" was still in English.

Also soweit ich weiss gab es auch damals schon die PC-CD Version in deutsch, mein Dad hat die, aber tief vergraben irgendwo, sonst hätte ich schon unlängst nen Patch selber gebaut genauso wie für Earth Worm Jim 2 (siehe Schotedotbiz ;-) )
