Just wanted to thank you guys at GOG for releasing Under a Killing Moon. This has always been one of my favorite games, and I've had only limited success in getting it to run under DOSBox on m own. I thought if I ever wanted to play it again, I'd have to rig a DOS emulator and even then, deal with instability
You guys have done an exemplary job with this game. I experienced only one lockup through the entire game, and it was easily fixed by closing the game and trying again. I'm technically not even running the game on a supported operating system - I run Windows 7 x64. It is faster and more stable than it has ever been.

I didn't know they made games of any of the Discworld books. I've been a fan of Terry Pratchett for years.

The first Discworld game is firmly in my personal Top Ten. Great humorous game with blundering Rincewind and his Luggage. The puzzles are incredibly difficult and at the same time they make perfect sense in crazy Discworld. Discworld II is a bit easier, but IMO not as much fun.
They are rarish, but you can still find them at ebay, especially British ebay.

I looooved Under a Killing Moon as a kid. Never played the sequels for some reason, I think I was somewhat out of games at the time, so getting them on GOG now is an awesome thing.
I'm halfway through Pandora Directive and it is just as great as Under a Killing Moon.

I've heard the Discworld games are much too difficult/impossible if you haven't read any of the books...

I haven't been able to be online the last few months, and I got quite a happy shock when I saw the Tex Murphy games on here! I've been a fan of them since I played Under a Killing Moon 14 years ago, but have had frequent trouble getting them to run on my computers. Not to mention I have lost some of the CDs.
The best part about this, besides actually having them again, is saying goodbye to all that annoying disc-swapping. That sucked, but the games were good enough to put up with it.

Comparison between Discworld Noir and Tex Murphy is interesting indeed. The earlier two Discworld games were quite different but I have to admit that Noir has something in common. I don't think it is as good game as UAKM but it is definitely worth playing.
