Hi guys!
First off wanna say this game is fantastic, but one thing is bugging me, what happens to the Translator? The main villain? At the end Tex blows up the joint, and there's just no explanation if he dies or gets away, it's like his scene was deleted at the end or something, which is a bit of a shame cos he seemed to be a really interesting baddie. And I was kind of expecting a fist fight with Tex and either Slade or Dalton, it's a bit of a tradition that Tex always gets into one each game :)

My guess is that both the Translator and Dalton managed to escape, allowing for the story to continue (in hopefully less than 16 years).

hm, Daltons escape is indeed confimed, the Translator? not so much, he is still an unknown...
as far as I understood this whole 16 year development hell, Tesla Effect basically represents 2/3 of a Trilogy that was supposed to have started with the game planned after Overseer... (tentatively titled Chance, Polarity, and Trance)

at least that's what I remember... :D

Chance is Chelsee's brother (Chance Bando), he is mentioned by Slade (which in turn may validate the Tex Murphy Radio Theater as canon). Trance may be the Trance Inducer (Tesla), no clue about Polarity though :)
Dalton succeded because we saw him leaving the place like hell. And he's also in the bad ending of the Game.

About The Translator i don't know, he tried to escape that's for sure but did he managed to ? Can't say.

That make me thinking, i really love how react The Translator when Margaret Mind spoke to him. I think, for a time, Charles was truly back like "OMG what i've done" his eyes was like he was sad to see what happened to his wife. But then his dark side come back.

It's really the whole thing about Tex that i don't get in the end. He's Donelly right ? So he's been cryogenithing and can't say when he woke up, i presume then he get a new persona but why there's no issue about his childhood ?

I should play it again, it's still a bit blurry

I really hope we don't have to wait 16 years for another sequel. :P

Yes, the Translator's reaction to Margaret is very powerful, almost makes we wish there was a path where we can re-unite THEM :)
In the end he did try to escape (and he should have been closer to the door than Tex) so I believe he may still make a future appearance if another Tex game is made.
