its going on steam, no mention of gog at this stage
It says "ATLUS and Big Finish games will release Tesla Effect on Steam and other PC platforms worldwide in early 2014" on texmurphy.com

Also on the kickstarter page it says drm-free. Hopefully it'll come to GOG.
With the other Tex Murphy games here it would almost seem like a no-brainer to release on GOG as well.

I guess it's up to the publisher to decide, though.
Very very cool to see, looking forward to it.

Live action cutscenes should make a comeback in general, and of course humor and flavor in general would help a lot of games.

I certainly agree with this...;) They had some excellent ideas back in the late '80's & '90's for FMV games--some games had excellent potential. Problem was, though, the FMV tech for computers then was pretty awful, especially if you didn't want to see postage-stamp sized video! Things are much better now and the hardware to handle good HD-res MPEG2 + video formats is here and pretty much ubiquitous--I'd enjoy seeing a Renaissance in the FMV games.

It's a shame that the original Sierra founders (can't believe the name evades me at the moment! The wife did the first King's Quests--not FMV, of course--Steve & Roberta Williams?) have no interest in getting back into FMV game production, as I would love to see a competently done Fantasmagoria-the original FMV was so poor that it really destroyed the two games for me at the time, pretty much. Today she could do practically anything she wanted to do and at the same time get the results she tried so hard (and failed) to achieve with Fantas--and even the FMV Gabriel Knight's. Seems as if there'd be a much-increased interest in doing FMV these days, especially with the huge budgets these AAA titles have these days.

Steve? It's Ken.
Considering how they gave GOG versions of the previous Tex Murphy games to backers, I would find it odd if the new game wasn't made available in GOG as well.

Thanks...! Could barely remember "Roberta Williams," which kind of surprised me...;)
