I'm in elijah witt's place on day eight and I have a problem with the number puzzle in the statue.
The puzzle has six rows (i'm in game players mode) but the picture of the statue only has the 4 entertainment mode numbers on the back : 77 61 44 26
I know these are the wrong nunbers because there is only one 4 in the puzzle.
Help!
(P.S I know I can look up the right numbers but I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this)

it could be due to some of the exam files are missing, I have given gog the files to include in the patch.
in the meantime the book on the floor should open when examining it, that's one of the errors,
look at the calender hanger near the lift
Hey plumgas
Would it be possible for you to list the names of those files and where you found them, so we can add them ourselves?

EXAM.060 should be with disk 2 EXAM 080 & EXAM 0A0 disk 3- these files are on the original disk.
pandora.2 image & pandora.3 add these files.
I changed the image file name & saved it in another folder .pandora2.gog to pandora.iso
then mounted the images, add the missed files & reburn & then place into the gog folder.
Gog are however putting something together to fix this issue as per their email from last night.
Oh ok, but thanks anyway :)
Not that it's necessary, but I can confirm these bugs in Game Player mode. I felt bad about looking up a hint, but I'm glad to see it was not my fault. Is there anything absolutely vital in examining those books for later in the game?

once you have obtained the box , you won't need the books anymore but further down the track you might find problems viewing more articles (more daggers). but it seems the missed files are the animated ones. (items that move)

Do I need to know the contents of that calendar book to open up the box?

the culture book is needed for the statue , you need to work out the myan calender, to open box
there is something hanging on wall up high near door .
plumgas has GOG been in touch with you regarding the fix? They told me they're having a lot of trouble with it because they have a different version of the game. I haven't touched the game in 2 weeks. :-(

They emailed me a couple of days ago & have another version from the same writer as a version I have, using this guy's installer it maps all the files from the cd's disk into a installer to burn to dvd. I have given them the files but the will not load them as they want to use the new installer . I have been unable to contact the writer & gog has also emailed him. I think he must be away. the writer has the program available on a free site for people to down load if they have the original cd's. GOG need permission as the are selling the game.
I don't see a reason that I can't issue the files as I am not selling them game.
the problem is gog made images of the exam files in the program & listed them as disk 1-6, however the data files that were on the cd's were installed on the hard drive so the data files need to be at the same place as the exam files. I tried the cd's exam files there were left out & added them to gog's image files but it didn't work & then I added my exam files from the other installer & copied them to gog's folder & it worked.
That tells me if the full cd's were imaged & installed in the disk 1-6 folders it will work.
I have the images at homes & I will try it out.
To save anyone else the hassle of looking them up, the correct numbers (for "Game Player's" mode) are:
70
12
84
65
39
67
So just use these in place of the "77 61 44 26" that the game gives you.
If you haven't reached the puzzle yet, just note down these numbers - it's not really a spoiler since they're just numbers, and have no meaning until you reach the puzzle, and the numbers don't detract from the solution!
Hope this helps :)

I got my hands on the missing files, I think. Could you explain how to get them into the GOG version? And/or you could point me to that fix you mention? Thanks...

I have all the exam files binded together, there are exam files on each original disk & they are named the same so there binded together & installed into the pandora file on the hard disk or in this case in the gog folder. The reason the animations don't work with the exam files is gog have them as images within the program, they must be installed in the pandora folder. Which files do you have.
If you head over to tex murphy site & send me a private message I can supply with a link to download so you can finish the game.http://www.unofficialtexmurphy.com

Why don't they just take a retail version of the game and build the ISOs from those discs? That would solve pretty much every single problem people are having :(
