So I've played and liked "Under a Killing Moon" and "The Pandora Effect." I've tried playing "Overseer" on my overpowered Windows 8 laptop, but the transparent objects and crashing got on my nerves, and I don't particularly feel like installing it on an older computer that barely gets used. I know it ends on a cliffhanger that "Tesla Effect" resolves, and because I'd accidentally read it, I know that the cliffhanger involves (SPOILER, of course) Chelsee and Tex getting shot. Do I need to play "Overseer," or can I safely skip it, at least for now?
You can skip it in my opinon, the date of Tex and Chelsee and the cliffhanger ending is only the framework plot, the main plot of Overseer is a retelling of Tex's first case during the date and has no real connection with Tesla Effect.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't play Overseer sometimes if you get it to work - I think it's a great game.

if you have played UAKM & Pandora you could skip overseer & just play tesla effect
your transparent objects thing is driver related, I get it on newer nvidia drivers & onboard win 8 drivers.
however it does run perfectly on the right driver for win 7

Hmm, good to know. I do have a weak-even-for-when-I-got-it Windows 7 laptop in my room I'm not using, but could. I was worried I'd have to install it on a computer using XP to work. Thanks for the advice.
