Can anyone tell me if the points you gain in Tesla affect the game content in any way (endings, bonus stuff, etc) or is it simply a 'see if you can get a perfect score' thing? If its the ladder, I couldn't care less about points, but if it does affect things I'll pay closer attention. Thanks!

the points are only there to have bragging right in the end ;D

your score determines what rank you will earn, but does not influence the narrative in any way or form...

have fun playing, it's a good game anyway you look at it...
In Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, Overseer and Tesla Effect demo, there was a point system with digits. But in full version of Tesla Effect, there are only light bulbs - regular, green "points added" and red "points lost". Do I need to find every green bulb without red ones (hints/deaths) for a maximum rank?

I guess I can answer that in the negative, as I incurred several deaths on my last playthrough and still got the highest ranking... those losses can always be balanced by looking at all the backer photos, look at every item in you inventory, find every flashback etc. It just takes some patience, really...

Great, thanks! Dont really care what my rank is as long as I get to experience all the Tex Murphy greatness!
I personally have never paid much attention to the points system, but did find it interesting that in order to use some of the built in 'hints' in the past games - points needed to be accumulated.

...not the case. Trust me. A good detective, or a good collector will be rewarded handsomely. But also remember, a good detective also always stays true to his girl. ;)

aye :D
which reminds me, haven't got an answer yet over on the BFG forums:

is the super secret ending influenced by choice of difficulty?

thanks

P.S. I have played through the game five times so far... :D

I assume you're talking about the comic books :-) Really what I'm getting at though, say I'm the super nice Tex, make all the right decisions, find the whole collection... but at the very end decide to jump off Coit Tower 100 times so I have 0 points... will that affect the end scenario?

Speaking of collectors, I was a bit annoyed when I finished on the A path and got no indication as to how many of those "collectibles" I had gotten. Apparently you have to remember to go and check while you can. I don't think I got them all- I reckon the game would have told me if I did... but an indication would have been nice.

After jumping 100 times off of Coit Tower I can safely say - No, having 0 light bulbs did not affect the ending (I got to see all of the Chelsee ending, including the post credits scene)

If you are a hard boiled PI on the A-path, you don't need to collect all the comics ;)
