The rather underwhelming progress I've made with home construction/expansion. Marvel at the mediocre functionality!

I've enjoyed looking at these, so I thought I would share one of my creations.

It's not much, but I like it. It's my "Glass Tower", with a long rope ladder to get to the main living area, and an arboretum only available by flying/grappling.

Hey, considering NPCs never even thank you for building them houses, functionality is really all they deserve.

Thanks. :) I've certainly got enough raw materials by now that I could make a nicer and/or bigger place, if I ever feel like it.

I've also been considering downgrading the fisherman's shack. As basic as it is, it's STILL too nice for the likes of that smelly bastard. >:D

Player crafted dirt walls count as walls for housing and you can use floor/wall/ceiling of basic dirt as well.

Here's my creations, it's noting special, but hey I haven't even entered hardmode yet (yep first time playing) :)

I like the underground caverns, nice use of terrain.

I haven't really done any building at all since I last posted in this thread, save finally getting around to making a dedicated storage chamber. I already had to slightly expand it once (can't remember if this shot was taken before or after said expansion, though), but it's a hell of a lot better than having to run all over the damn house dropping things in different chests.

EDIT: I remembered: this was before I expanded the basement storage center.

Just you wait, you're gonna need even more boxes if you don't want to start discarding all your stuff.

For pictures, a mushroom biome and some NPC homes from the globe world ... with the latter also including a mushroom biome. I like glowy things.

Sigh.... I really need to get back to Terraria. -_-

......so are we still waiting for Mr. 1.3?? O_O

Guess so? Honestly though, if they introduce a whole bunch of new stuff I'm just gonna be confused again. Not like I've even discovered everything there is to know pre-1.3 already. Not even close.
