Before I could not find the way of payment,
When I can buy terraria, you have missed my favorite version of the game
How can I want to download in gog version
Such as 1.0 or 1.1or1.0.1
If I remember correctly, gog started with Terraria version 1.2.x or something, which means that they would not be able to deliver the older versions anyway.
I understand wanting 1.1 because that's the first big update but why would you want pre-1.1?

Also, what Unkalibriert said. Only way to acquire the old updates would be to find an illegal copy I guess.

The old versions of Terraria are content void, unoptimized buggy messes.

I'm very, very fond of terraria,
But the new version, 1.2.X later, with the new structure of the world.
I still prefer the original terraria,
Especially the older version of the terrain generated content.
I do not want a single map also see gold, silver and iron and tin GOLD Galena ......
So I want to install more than one version of the game, but also as collections.
I think if have a history GOG download, i can save the money to buy the Collector's Edition CD
Gotcha.

I started playing just before 1.1.1 was released so I wouldn't know. As I mentioned, you will likely have to acquire an illegal copy which shouldn't be a problem given the fact that you most likely already own at least one legal copy.
If I understand well, there is 3 main branches of Terraria ? 1.1 (that I never played), 1.2 (that I played a little) and now the 1.3.
I would be very interested too for being able to download the latest version of each branch.
It would be great if GOG could do something about this.

1.0.1 to 1.0.3 were mostly bug fixing with a bit of content added/changed and some QoL stuff.

1.0.4 added more content than the previous 3 patches combined. It also introduced the Surface Jungle biome.

1.0.5 introduced potions and a more interesting Desert biome. Also Voodoo Demons, allowing players to hurt the Guide who had been letting in zombies during night time previously (Hardmode wasn't until 1.1).

1.0.6 was a split between balance changes and the addition of furniture (like Dressers, Bathtubs and Bookcases)

1.0 was a noticably different beast from 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 not just due to the content added, but the UI had seen some improvements as well.

Do note that characters are not backwards compatible between game versions, and you'd need to manually manage the save location if you wanted to play an older version of the game. Same thing with worlds, once you load up either in a newer version of the game, they get updated to that version.

To me the only reason to get older versions of the game beyond archival would be the world generation.
Well, if you've got the Steam version, you could fetch old versions from Steam via Terraria GameLauncher once it updates for 1.3. It only gets select versions, though. 1.0, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.1.2, 1.2.0.3, 1.2.1.2, I believe.

I see ! Thanks for the detailed explanations, that's interesting.
What do you think about 1.2x branch and 1.3.x ? 1.3.x is only improvement of 1.2.x, or are there any reason to play the 1.2.x branch too ?

I really hope GOG will enable us to download old installers of main versions (or even downgrade patches) of games bought here. It would be a nice addition to the site.

I think part of the fun of old versions is finding certain exploits. Like how early versions of 1.2 allowed you to use teleporters to get into the Jungle Temple.

I agree though, GOG ought to see if they can get old versions. Having older versions would be great for mods, although, a lot of Tconfig mod downloads have 404'd by now. Not to mention that older mods were made during a time where Terraria was Steam-only, so getting them to work might come down to an unauthorized tweak to the mod, or tracking down the mod maker and convincing them that it'd be okay to make the mod compatible with DRM-Free versions. And that's if Surfpup feels like updating Tconfig for DRM-Free versions.

I can imagine providing older versions of games would benefit other games on here with extensive mod support. Maybe it's time for a GOG community wishlist entry?
I think Gog stores the old versions for compatibility reasons but they don't keep the old installers public. You could try asking support if they can provide you a dowload link for whatever version you want to play.

I looked a little deeper on the community wishlist and found a wish who is corresponding !

Concerning Terraria, someone will contact support for having version 1.2.4.1 (see here), I asked him to talk about us if he can.
