agylardi: I am still wondering how people would play it multiplayer.
It is definitely best played with friends, with sessions set up in a fairly organized manner. If you just set up a server and people log in whenever, you'll find that someone went and looted the Dungeon while others only have a helmet and pants for armor. That's if you're doing a progression style server at least.

A building server where people collaborate on creating something can be left running of course, provided that everyone is on the same page when it comes to who builds what and where. And whether to progress the world to hardmode or do any bosses.

Still, taking a break could be a good idea, especially if you've taken out the Moon Lord enoug times to make all 4 armor sets.

That may make you ready for 1.3.1 which is going to focus on wires and mechanisms: http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/get-wired-for-terraria-1-3-1-calling-all-terrarian-mechanics.29865/

I see. So communication and setting up the same level of player is the key for good multiplayer.

Yeah. I also have read about that 1.3.1 update. I wonder what kind of update they would add. Even for me, the successful mechanism I made only two: Jellyfish and Shark spawn machine, and Auto skeleton, slime, and mimic farm on my Moon Lord arena for generating hearts. Even now, people already made some crazy set up using mechanism system in Terraria. And they would enhance their creativity further with that update.

Well, I can wait and try the update later after it is released :D
Found a marble biome, nearly got killed by Hoplites.
Got bored of perpetual ice (while digging down from the huge tree in the forest), started a new hellevator tunnel under the base in the middle of the forest.
Found the Goblin Tinkerer, made Cloud in a Balloon and Spectre Boots.
Reached 400 hp, made Heart Lamp (already have Star in a bottle).
Made buckets, drained the Dungeon entrance (it was flooded), went in, found Water Bolt, descended to the ocean level, GTFOed.
Started digging in the jungle. Found the lizard temple and the Skeleton Merchant (I'd have camped it out for Spelunker Glowsticks or the lantern but it was time to leave, sigh).
Reached the depth at which Jungle Spores spawn. Found Nature's Gift. Haven't found a single Ivy Chest yet (I only need the anklet to craft Frostspark Boots).
Such a nasty thing hit my fishing spot in the tundra... oO

Hoplights are EVIL!!! Keep them at a distance. The nice thing is they drop really cool armor AND their spears make great weapons against Eye of Cthulhu and the Skeleton asshole guarding the dungeon.

Last time I was in a marble biom I finally snagged a Medusa head but contrary to what the wiki says, it's a shit weapon. It's slow and ultimately doesn't really do that much damage. On the plus side, it looks REALLY cool when you mount it in your base.

Do you charge it though? It's a bit tricky because as soon as it's fully charged it discharges immediately so you have to time it. I frequently use it to make short work of my most hated enemy in the game : bats... I hate those things! They are so annoying!

Yeah and charging it, timing it, is why I don't like it. Like I've said before, get me a Starfury and the bats don't stand a chance. :D

If it weren't for the yoyo (and variants), Hoplites would be a real pain to deal with early on before you get decent armor and some jumping accessories. Er, at least for a player like me for whom even easy platformers are generally a tough challenge.

O.O
Did a meteor actually "land" that far underground naturally? Or did you place that?

Presumably, it was an artificial 6x50 shaft and a meteor fell down it. My second meteor fell down a natural shaft in Corruption.

I am wondering how tricky it would be to get a meteor to land in the Underworld.

Also, anyone have a meteor land in space?

I don't know about space but I have heard of them hitting sky islands.

Never seen that. Then again, the way my small main world is going, the meteors will be creating their OWN shafts into the earth. :(

If you build a "bridge" (a single line of blocks is all that's needed) near the top of the world, from one side to the other, that'll be the only place a meteor will be able to impact.

If you build the bridge high enough, couldn't the meteor spawn below that? I have read of falling stars spawning inside structures in space.
I tried to build a bridge out of a witch once. It didn't work.
