It used to be when I started Hardmode the Corruption/Crimson started spreading from the outside in. All of a sudden now when I kill the Wall huge patches show up in random places all over the map.

It's not a killer but it kind of takes away the point of all those tunnels I built to cut it off.

nvm, I figured it out

I read somewhere that the spread starts from where you kill the Wall of Flesh. If you kill it on the far left, the V will start from there and so on.

Any truth to this?

Nope, that is wrong, I can stand for that. I at one point literally killed the wof on the edge of the world and the v spawned around the centre of the map regardless.
