During the intro video I noticed that the sound channels were reversed (it's especially noticeable during the first council meeting). I guess it's only a small problem but I wanted to see if I could fix it all the same. After some research into the issue I found a discussion on the dosbox forums about a possible bug with emulating the dos sound driver used by the game.
I've incorporated a fix into my custom dosbox build and I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else wanted to use it.
Here are the installation steps:
1. Locate your 'Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri' installation folder. It should contain three sub-folders: CD, DOSBOX and TN
2. Rename the DOSBOX folder to DOSBOX_backup
3. Download my updated dosbox from here: http://www.davidwaltersdevelopment.com/tools/dosbox/
4. Extract the DOSBOX folder from this download into the Terra Nova folder.
5. Run the game from the usual shortcut and the sound should now be coming out of the correct speakers.
6. If you're running through Galaxy, it might revert this change but I think you can disable that feature on a per-game basis now.
Anyway, hope this helps!
Note: this doesn't fix the issue of the player weapon sounds being swapped.
