Indeed... Clearly not selling well enough on GOG for them to care one way or the other - it makes what it makes. Daymare 1998 is in the same boat.

Its on sale now! Maybe they forgot, in any case buying it now, who knows when it will be on sale again.

stryx: The problem with this game is however, that it won't be on offer forever. At one point the Terminator license will run out and GOG will take it off the store. If we haven't bought it by then, we never will. I do hope that it gets a decent sale before that.
I wasn't aware of that. I've had this game wishlisted for some time now but thought I would wait while I worked through my backlog.

As a big fan of the first two Terminator movies this might be the time to jump in and purchase the game, especially since I've seen comments comparing it to Alien: Isolation, which I love.

It again is on sale with a 40% discount and I took the plunge. The discount may not be as steep as I would like, but I'm playing it safe and now the game is in my library DRM free. You all can laugh at me later, when it is at a deeper discount and I probably won't have played it yet.

In the early years I used to back up my installer files, too. Games just became too large for that.

But I've never heard of any game vanishing from people's libraries here. Sure, there are plenty games, that you can't buy anymore, but you can still download them, if you have bought them in the past.

Tell me about it. I've "lost" several hundred dollars by buying games which later on had deeper discounts, and I still haven't had time to play 99% of them. It is somewhat painful to see a game on sale for $5 when I paid $20 for it (which was a good discounted price when I bought it), but my mindset is the same as yours -- I have the game in my library, so I can play it whenever I want. It costs more doing it that way, but I have several games in my library that have since been delisted from the store. I also look at it from the viewpoint that when I purchased the games, I made the conscious decision that they were worth the price I paid, and a deeper sale later on doesn't change that.

Regarding the offline installers, I have so far always downloaded the offline installer when I purchased a game, but like you said, with games becoming so large (many games being 50+ GB now), that will probably stop. It's also questionable if always downloading offline installers is useful because if you want to have the latest version available for (re)install, then you'll have to download new offline installers whenever a new version of the game is released. If you own only a few games, that's easy to do. If you own several hundred games, or very large games, then it because prohibitive time-wise and bandwidth-wise.

What I am going to do regarding offline installers is wait 1-2 years until they release 15+TB HDD on an affordable price then backup all my games that have been released up until 2019 ....for games that are released from 2020 and onwards I will probably back them up after many years since they will be receiving patches and dlc...
