Have coe standard and temple+ mods and can't select race at character creation. I can roll stats.

It's greyed out. No, I can't skip it.

I used roll on system - I spent all my points.

Then maybe you should uninstall everything, and start over with clean install. Are you using co8 and temple+? Strongly recommend that you do, if not. There are many unsolved bugs in vanilla.

Make sure that you give all the co8 steps plenty of time to finish (they can take ridiculously long). Many weird problems have been caused by not letting c08 get all the way finished. And don't forget the activation step.

After you are done, on the first launch, make sure that you see: "1.0.56" on the splash screen, and also "c08 modpack 9/16/2013". If you don't see them then something is wrong with install.

Don't know what else to tell you. Your problem is not normal behavior for the game.
