So as to minimize potential spoilers, I'll be as nondescript as possible...

I got a tattoo that gives me a +2 to one of my skills. But to use it, I need it to be equipped, and it takes up my armor slot. Its on my Sorcerer, so its not like she needs the robes, but she looks much cooler with her Red Mystic Garb than without.

Any suggestions? Should I just swap them out whenever I want to use this +2 skill?

You can equip tattoos and robes at the same time as they use different slots. But perhaps this is a function of the Circle of 8 mod - I'm not really sure as I haven't played vanilla ToEE since it first came out.

Is it just a ToEE themed tattoo or did you go all out with a GOG themed tat across the forehead? That should win you a game or two!

lol...reminds of the lawsuit by the guy who got a radio station's logo tattoo'd across his forehead because one of the dj's said he'd pay $10k if anyone did it, then reneged.

That avatar of yours is adorable, btw. Is that from a commercial or is it your kid?

Thanks. It's my son enjoying his 'mac and cheese' during our usual Saturday walkabout to give Mom some breathing room.

You replaying ToEE with a new party? I'm doing NWN2 right now and finding it as boring as the first time I tried to play it. Hopefully some of the user created content is better than the OC.

Nah, I finished it & moved on. I'm playing the Sierra adventure games right now. I haven't played NWN or NWN2, can they be played turn-based?

Re: NWN - Not technically turn based. They both are 3rd person solo + henchman (effectively a party) with lots of space bar pausing. The AI is significantly better than the infinity engine AI, so giving orders is not as mandatory. And there are user mods to make the factory installed AI even smarter.

NWN is the better of the two for fun and cost, as well as having better user created content. Swing over to the NWN forum here on Gog to see a compilation of good mods hosted at NWN Vault. My favorite is the Aielund modules which allow you to have a Dragon henchman (yes, a Dragon) and make the original content pale in comparison.

Re: Sierra games - A little too old school for my taste. While we're probably of the same age bracket, I can only flash back to the past but so much! I've tried reliving the glory of some of the classics, but just can't do 640x480. Though a Bard's Tale 1-3 compilation might make me change my mind...

Harp & Chrysanthemum is as good as they come, one of my best RPG experiences really. (Mask of the Betrayer is required, but that's worth getting in it's own right).

I also got a real kick out of Dark Waters. But that requires a tuned set of humour and enjoying something a bit.. different. Also full of potentially game breaking bugs and glitches. (save often, keep a bunch of older saves)

Neither of these is combat heavy or well suited for a powergamer.

Thanks Jarmo! Already have Harp downloaded and I played a few of Adam Miller's NWN mods back in the day, so I'll definitely try Dark Water for NWN2.
