Hey Guys,

I have an issue I think it is either with new video card drivers or my new TV/monitor I have an LG TV and Nvidia GeForce 660 Driver 344.11.

Anyways when I start the game certain items on the screen blink/flash. I assume I am having issues with the refresh rate. However the rate is as high as it can go for the maximum resolution of the game.

I have also installed the Circle of eight mod.
I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but...

Anyone know what is going on, or has had similar issues?

Thanks guys.
PS: Also I would like to add with the Circle of 8 mod I can only get a resolution of 1280 X 1024 and a refresh rate of 60 my video card and my TV combined can support 1920*1080 and a refresh rate of 60 at that resolution.

The resolution you've chosen is sub-optimal. Try a standard HD res of 1280x720 which should work with the Co8 mod, while Full HD (1920x1080) isn't supported.

1280X720 is not available in the game, however I did try 1280X960. I still have the same issues I have also tried 1024X768 and 800X600 in both 16bit and 32 bit. Refresh rate for some reason will not go higher than 60. :-(

A refresh rate of 60 is perfectly normal and probably not the cause of the flickering - if it actually is 60. Go to your graphic card's control panel and check the display settings for which refresh rate is set for the TV. Try forcing 60 Hz, but not above, if it isn't supported by your TV (you could damage it).

Also try playing with vertical synchronization on and off, and check if it makes a difference.

You can set a 1280x720 resolution by editing toee.cfg in the game's installation folder.
- Open toee.cfg with any text editor
- Edit video_width and video_height like this:
video_width=1280
video_height=720

I think it is my TV. I set it to 1280*1024 @ 60 and I had the same problem with the game. I tried editing the config file to 1280 by 720 but it seemed to have no effect. I also noticed there is a refresh rate option in the config file. I could set this higher to 80 hrtz or so for refresh rate for the resolution you mentioned above. However I do not think it will do any good, since saving the config file did nothing.

Ok ....I turned the refresh rate up to 85 in the config file don't know whey but that worked, seemed to help for some reason. ;-/
