Instead of creating a new topic for every question I have, I will just make this one and ask every thing here.

Any help I get is greatly appreciated.

Q1. I am used to playing other RPGs where characters/classes have specific weapons they can use. However, I see no such information on any character in ToEE. Why? Can any class use any weapon?

Q2. During dialog I sometimes see symbols next to my responses. What are these, and what do they stand for? The icons are so small, and no popup menu appears when I rest my pointer on them. The manual neglects informing about them too.

Regarding Q1, in theory all characters can use all weapons and armor, but if they are not proficient with it (check their Weapon Proficiency and Armor Proficiency feats), they will receive rather severe penalties. What feats they start with depends on their class, and of course you can gain more later on. Furthermore, certain classes can choose Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization, with give handy bonuses when you're using the chosen weapon.

As for Q2, these denote that a skill you possess (Bluff/Persuade/etc.) has allowed you to choose that option (which would otherwise be invisible). As for their specific meaning, I dunno.
New question

Q3. I am on the quest where I have to use a heal scroll on Bing. But how do I do this? I try to right click, and an error appears. I try to drag the scroll over to the "Use Item" icon, but I get an "Transfer error".

The easiest way is to right-click on the character who has the scroll (he needs to be able to cast divine spells to use it), select inventory on the wheel, then scrolls, then click on the heal scroll.
Then click on Bing to cast heal on him.

If you got your Heal Scroll from the Cuthbert's Church, you probably also snagged a potion of heal. For some reason even my Wizard who has a high use magic devices -skill & some points in heal could not successfully use the scroll on Bing(Either the Use of scroll failed or the "emulation of ablity score"). I dunno if healing spells are prohibited for my Evoker or something.

Just use the potion, it is much easier :)

Sorcerers and Wizards cannot cast divine spells so having a scroll to cast divine spells does not work either. Use a Druid or Cleric.

The heal skill is for stopping characters from bleeding out and dieing, it doesnt actually heal hit points.

Thanks, I figured the function of Heal-skill through trial & error but this was new to me that those Wiz's can't use healing scrolls. My Cleric did not have the ability to use scrolls back then so I just used the potion. Both have the same results on Bing.
