Hey, does anyone know if there are hotkeys for buying/selling in the Barter screen? Or maybe a way to drag and drop whole groups of items you want to sell? I have to drag and drop each individual item one at a time, and it is a pain for selling off whole piles of looted items. I know when you want to Identify items in the store, once you have activated the "Identify" button, it stays active and you can just click on your inventory whatever you wish multiple times. Is there a way to do this for selling as well?
Haven't played it for a while, and I don't remember there being a way to do that, but what I used to do was to place everything I wanted to sell inside an NPC or a Familiar's inventory. This way, when you talk to a store, everything inside the NPC/Familiar inventory is automatically sold -- you can redistribute the cash afterwards, if you wish.
Nope, neither suggestion seems to work. You can't take familiars out of the inventory of the PC that summoned them (they basically grant a passive buff and take up a slot in your backpack in this game). And the NPCs don't seem to auto-sell anything. You might be thinking of another game, cause I know some other dungeon crawls work like that. I'm also using the Co8 mod, but I doubt that changed anything in the barter window.

Well, once I go down into the Temple dungeon, I'm probably not going to bother salvaging as much loot anyways, cause it is simply too far to carry all the way back to town. Still, it seems like the devs made a massive oversight on this one. You can auto-loot a dead body, but you can't auto-sell the stuff to the store.
I don't recall any hot keys. I remember spending lengthy times at the shop.
Hmm, if you get Pishella to join the party and then talk to her, there is a dialogue that tells her to stop selling the stuff you give her. But as far as I can tell, she never sold anything on her own anyways. So maybe Co8 mod did change the behavior of NPCs.

Getting your familiar to leave your backpack is done through the radial menu: to be precise, the inventory section. It took me a while to spot, too.

I suspect that Co8 stopped NPCs (and familiars?) from selling the items in their inventory as a part of redoing how the way they loot works.
Maybe, but I don't think familiars had inventory slots even in vanilla. Once the familiar is out of your pack, they work more like a summons or a charmed monster, tagging along with the party but you don't have much direct control. Mine tended to suicide itself in the first big fight, so I just leave it in the pack now.

Took me a while to figure out how to get it back in as well: Talk to it.

Yes you do. You have complete control, at least with the Co8 mod you do. There are certain actions that are invalid, sure, but you do have control of it, and it has an inventory.

How? All I can do with the familiar is move it around, and only when we are not in combat. As soon as combat starts, the AI takes control and it basically attacks the nearest enemy and there is nothing you can do. It doesn't even have its own sight range, so it is useless as a scout. It doesn't have a radial menu, it doesn't pick anything up, the "I" hotkey doesn't work, there is no inventory screen that I can find. As far as I can tell, it functions exactly like any other summoned creature, except that when it dies your Character loses exp.

How does that constitute complete control? I am using the Co8 mod 8.01NC. Are there more modules to activate?

But honestly, unless the familiar can auto-loot a corpse, it isn't going to save any time, because you would have to load each piece of equipment into its inventory individually. SO you might as well just do that directly in the store.

It seems to me that you are not looking very far. The familiar inventory is no different than any NPC's. The only thing is that the familiar itself can't pick things up. But as you go through the game, you are managing inventories all of the time, and it's no hassle to put things in it's inventory as you see fit. Combat is a non-issue, since we are only talking about inventories here. Speaking of which, here are some screenshots:

Hmmm. Mine doesn't have that. I have 5 familiars (lizard, bat, raven, snake, weasel) and none of them have a radial menu or inventory. I must not have installed part of the modpack.

What about selling at the store? To get back to the OP, does the familiar (or other NPCs) auto-sell everything in your version?

You need to install
Circle_of_Eight_Modpack_8.0.0_New_Content_Edition_Setup.exe
activate it and then install
Circle of Eight Add-On 8.0.1 New Content Edition Setup.exe
then activate it.

Since you said you were running "Co8 mod 8.01NC" I assumed you had already done this.

That's what I said earlier.

Hang on a moment... that went over my head when I first read it, but how have you got 5 familiars? You can only summon 1, and if you dismiss your familiar you cannot summon another for a year and a day!
I've got 5 different characters with at least 1 level in Wizard class.

EDIT: I checked and I did install 8.0.1NC patch as well as went through the steps to activate it in FE-X, but the active mod is still listed as 8.0.0. Oh well, I don't feel like dealing with it right now....

Must be a strange team.

You are not forgetting the fact that you have to start a new game when you install the Co8 mod, are you? Previous saves either won't work, or won't carry/implement new content correctly.

And the front end does still state 8.0.0, since the add-on does not update the displayed version.
