i click play and the button goes grey i see a window open in my task bar for 1 second then play goes green again thats it.
i have gone through every single trick on the site and no change

same here GoG, usually your stuff runs fine, but this game does nothing, just fritzes my graphics on my screen to basic resolution and i have to reboot to clear up the mess.

Have you tried using the Temple+ mod?

yes that mod fixes it, but I shouldn't have to use a mod as such to get the game to work normally. GOG usually is fine with having working games that you can play, unlike steam, etc. Just saying, the game should work as-is, without using the temple+ mod.
