Well went ahead and bought it and, as expected, it doesnt work. Well thats not totally true. It did work once; the first time I tried. I was able to make a charecter then I shut it off and planned to play latter. Latter came and nope wont work. It starts up but when it gets to the movie at the begining it just goes back to desktop without out an error or anything, just wont get past the movie. So How do I disable the movies at the start? I really want to play this but as for now no go.

There are several ways to make the game work.

1. Move the movies to a different folder. This will probably make the game run, but you'll need to play the movies manually if you want to see them. You can use an application called Rad Video Tools to do this.

2. Replace the 'temple.dll' file in the root of your ToEE directory with an alternative one, made by fellow forum-member Bispoo. This will probably make your game run with movies enabled, but won't enable you to use the Co8-mod. (At least it does on my machine. The mod isn't mandatory, but just very nice).

3. Read up on solutions other users and myself have tried to come up with. If you find one that works for you, let us know so we can benefit from the information gathered.

No problem! I have the Co8-mod running, but had to move the movies anyway: the game crashes on every movie it tries to play, not just the intro movies. I added some links to my first post that might be of help.

I had the same issue running on Windows 7. The game would show the logos and the loading screen, then would disappear.

I found the game only works if I run it as administrator. This will then run normally.
