I'm strongly considering buying this game, but I'm concerned about all the bugs. I know the Circle of Eight modpack fixes a lot of the problems, but it still sounds like there are some pretty serious problems that can be encountered. Has anyone managed to play through the game without any problems? Here are my system specs if that is of any help in determining if it's likely to have problems on my system:

HD 6490m (1GB)
Windows 7 64-bit
8 GB RAM
Intel Core i5-2410m 2.30GHz

Thanks.
I've played it through twice without *serious* problems.
Using quick- or autosave will corrupt the savegames,
but once I started over and avoided those, Ive had a trouble free ride.

Some people have problems getting this to install and work, so theres a chance of that.
Your specs are way higher than the game demands at any settings, so you should be fine there.
I played through it just a few weeks ago without any serious problems (using Co8 6.1.0 NC). Encountered one or two minor bugs (mostly due to a few triggers being a bit wonky, but upon reloading the triggers worked just fine), along with some random crashes, but overall it was very playable. My main suggestion would be to save early, often (but never during combat), and in multiple slots, and always save before area transitions, and you should be just fine.
I played through it twice with the Co8 mod (6.0.0) on a Win7 64 bit rig. No issues at all other than a single crash during one of the game runs.

Are you using an AMD or NVIDIA graphics card? Also, thanks to everyone who replied.

Yeah. I'm not sure, but from the posts I've read it seems like the game is more stable on NVIDIA cards. I installed the game and the Co8 modpack. It launches without issue and so far I haven't noticed any bugs.
Remember to disable autosaves and never use a quicksave.
Using them, the corruption creeps in and even new clean saves are wacky.

Worked fine for me with vista 64 and Radeon 4870,
its not easily identifiable whos going to have problem and who not.
Are the problems with corrupted saves still present in the version with the patch applied?

There are still issues with quicksaves and saves made during combat with Co8 applied, but other than that I think everything is fine. It's still recommended to rotate through several saves, but playing through the game I don't think I ran into a single issue with a corrupted save.
Thanks very much. That is good to know. :-)
There's a bug involving elemental giants (demons) who are added to your party, can't pass through doors or sometimes blocking them, you have to leave them and moved on and come back to it later on. There's also a loot and save bug in winxp, you have to patch the game in order to remove the bugs.

But other than that, the game is worth the time, it is humorous and challenging game.
