"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

I just finished downloading "TOEE" but can't get it to install. I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) and get that error message whenever I try to run the executable. I've tried using different compatibility settings, disabling the UAC, and just running the program as an administrator. I can get my old copies of games like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, to run just fine. This is the first game I've downloaded from gog.com and I'm hoping there's a way to fix this. Will this be a common issue with anything I download off this site? I've already purchased Planescape: Torment as well, though It's still downloading, and had planned on picking up a lot more.
Strange.. a number of Win 7 X64 users (including myself) haven't had any problems with the game. It seems like you already tried a lot of solutions.. shame they didn't work.

Let's see.. what kind of version of Win 7 x64 are you using? (basic or pro?) And have you installed all the recommended updates?
Tried just downloading the installer again and it's working fine, thanks for your help though.

It probably means the download is corrupt.
