That's no way to start an adventure game.

And if the problem is that I'm missing an item because I was supposed to pick something up before I got locked into this room, then that tell's me all I need to know about this game too. Because with no manual, no help, and you're flying blind, to make the beginning puzzle that hard is ridiculous.

Yet I've tried every item I am carrying (rope, papers, spring, bulb) together, and on everything I can click on in the room and all I get is "That's no good" and "Combining these items won't accomplish anything."

No wonder it was free.

Don't waste your time folks. Even if this is a good game with a good story, that's not a fair way to start it. Unless you're just a sadist that loves to get frustrated, move on to a different choice.
Take it easy ;) It's not perfect I admit and it WAS way more enjoyable back in 90s but still it's not THAT bad. The good news is that you cannot get stuck somewhere just because you haven't done something earlier which is not possible now. No, no such a thing through the whole game.

And as for the first test: shout through the bars several times and the guard will bring you a meal. Take the wire that is on the floor and Mark will attach it to the bowl. Use the switch to see whether your trap works and call the guard once again. Take the key and... you are free!
You're clearly not cut out to be a secret agent. :P Either that or you're too spoiled for today's falling-off-a-log easy puzzlers.

Well, if that's true (you can't get stuck somewhere because you haven't done something earlier) then I take my unfair assertion back. If that's true then it's not being unfair.

As to the first place, I right clicked on the damn windows but only got some bullshit line and didn't click on it again. That was my bad.

But if/when one of these adventure games has just ONE puzzle in it that is so bizarre that almost no one could figure it out without help, then that's unfair. And I have seen them. As to the comment about being too spoiled for today's falling-off-a-log easy puzzlers, I've been doing classic point and click adventure games since the 80's. I've earned the right to judge when a game is fair and when it's just trying to be too hard just to please the masochists out there.

I stand corrected on that for this title....... for now.

Cross my heart and hope to die!

Remember that lesson! It will be useful later several times. It's weird but you have to click again and again and again to make it works. You can only stop clicking when he is repeating the same phrase all the time. If there is something new just go on... Frustrating indeed.

According to your judgment Teenagent is UNFAIR with all capital letters as many puzzles here are so bizarre that you can actually solve them only by accident (or with the walkthrough)

I actually wholeheartedly agree with you. I also remember some adventure games from 80s and I must admit: this game is bizarre, weird, stupid (put your own list of insults here). As I said: I actually enjoyed back in 90s but I think it was the very first Polish adventure game and many jokes just couldn't be translated. I've recently played the English version and I was deeply disappointed that some of the best one-liners were removed. Oh! I forgot to mention: I was a teenager myself back in 90s. I thing it means a lot.

Don't. I think the game will frustrate you to no end. Better leave it now and... play something better. I dare to state that you can enjoy this game only if you want to refresh some good memories connected with it. Well, you don't have them at all so you will not enjoy it...
