In any case, you're right but I personally can not help it ... and I decided not to have support from telltales (because in any case I do not want to be treated badly), while support gog helped me as far as he could.
That's why I don't want to blame GOG for this, but consider that GOG team convinced Disney and Lucasfilm to include all versions of X-Wing and Tie-Figters, but they can agree with TellTale for such a detail? That's just wierd and it must be TT fault :) I even think there is a secret plan between TT and Steam to crush GOG by selling bugged products, but since adventure games and (especially) Tales of Monky Island aren't such a big deal, it will not work ;)
Has this been fixed yet? Will it ever be?

I own TOMI on both Telltale's site and here on GOG, but haven't played the GOG version. I was planning to reinstall today and was hoping to use my GOG copy due to the lack of any DRM... then I read this thread.

Will I get a crippled version if I play the GOG version over the Telltale site's download?

If so, what will it take to get this fixed? I would have never re-bought the game a second time if I'd known it was a crippled/incomplete version! I only did it to support GOG getting Telltale titles and having a copy without any DRM nonsense (especially since my Telltale copy of The Walking Dead S1 was unplayable and their support couldn't fix it... until I figured out it was a motherboard driver issue - of all things! - by chance, over a year later!)
I think you can simply copy sound files from TT version to GOG's. It would be great if you could test it and post resulted here.
I'd actually be happy to try and help if I could, as I HATE when GOG'ers get treated as second-class customers by devs who don't supply patches/fixes. Telltale used to be *amazing* but in recent years my experience with their support has left a fair bit to be desired, a sign that their success went to their heads, perhaps. :(

Regardless, I'm just about to finish chapter 2 of the Telltale version (which I redownloaded from my account there and installed). I've had no issues so far with the version I'm playing (which suggests it was fixed for the TT downloadable version, at least). The dialog scene mentioned in the first post was fine for me (i.e. talking to Elaine and the others in the Royal Chamber); no different quality-wise than the rest of the game.

I have not tried the GOG version or the Telltale physical/boxed DVD release (which I also own) so I can't compare them yet.

Can you confirm that the GOG's Episode 2 dialog is indeed still unfixed? If so, I will happily try installing that version too and overwriting the relevant file with my Telltale ones to test if it fixes it for you.

One thing I DID notice, was that LeChuck's voice is still "the other guy" (i.e. not Earl Bowen) in episode one of the Telltale download... is this also the case in GOG's episode one? And does this then mean there was never any sort of patch and that the only way to get the revoiced episode one is to install the DVD version?! If so, perhaps replacing the Episode 1 audio file with the DVD version might fix that too?

I've installed GOG version about 2 weeks ago and it still was buged. You can easily tell by the sound file size.

I think it is worth to try switching Ep1 audio file also. But I thought that TT downloaded version have new dub. Thats weird :)

Has anyone that owns the DVD tried this yet? I would rather have the Earl Boen re-recorded lines for the first episode as well. However it does appear that all downloadable versions have the other voice actor instead. Not that Telltale gives a shit. If they did, they would of supply the fix for the Episode 2 sound issues themselves instead of GOG doing it behind the scenes after it is requested.
Does anyone here have the audio file and could share the link with us, please ?

I think that it would be worthwhile to try out. Hopefully it is just a matter of replacing the old files with the new ones, but who knows. Have to take a look and see if there are any file structure differences between the GOG and DVD releases.

Okay I tried it and the GoG version won't even launch with the DVD's sound file.

Calx9: I can't post links in forum but you can ask support for it or message me and I can send it to you!
You currently have PMs from people other than friends disabled. I know you posted this a while ago, but I thought I’d let you know.

This is the link that Support sent me after asking a day or so ago.
