UsernameTaken2: I played it quite a lot some time ago. I stopped when I hit a bug where the All-Mother's Altar wouldn't spawn, making it impossible to complete the game. The changelog says that has been fixed, so I might try again.
I found the Wyrdhunter quite hard to play. The Sentinel was the easiest for me, since you can end up with ridiculous amounts of barrier.
cycloppps: First battle is impossible to win.
UsernameTaken2: It is actually possible, since you can block almost every attack. It just takes a long time. If you win, the goat tells you that you're too good to need any more tutorials and throws you straight into the game proper (I don't even know if there are any more tutorial after the first battle).
Interesting about the first battle. I'll have to try winning next time I start a new save.
I actually like Wyrd Hunter. Didn't try anything else until I was pretty far along. Sentinel was interesting, especially with the passive for extra round on blocks. Played Berserker once too. Was interesting but kind of a pain keeping below 25% health for extra energy. Kinda defeats the main skill cause you never get hit. Might try again some day and try to stay at full health so I can use the main power skill.
I tried a couple others but couldn't get too far before I got bored. Didn't want to spend the time figuring out the best card combos and unlocking better cards, etc. Maybe some day.
I see weekly is wyrdhunter this week so I think I might be able to finally finish that.
Woodwine22: I started it yesterday and I'm just 1 or 2 hours in. Atmosphere is great and story is interesting so far. I'm struggling a bit with the game mechanics, i have to admit I'm generally not playing roguelites because it always hurts to lose all the progress you made when losing a fight. I'll give it some extensive attention on the weekend, let's see...
Even a failed run will get you some currency that you can use to upgrade your abilities for future runs. You need to unlock villagers first. You should see yourself progressing farther each time. With maybe a little variance because there is some luck involved in what cards you draw and passives you are offered.
