Why?
* recycler / cargo lift inventory too small
* player movements seems sluggish / jerky
* dropped items disappears
* can't skip annoying into logos, grrr
* can't make notes on the map
* world item descriptions doesn't appears immediately, you have wait until the text finishes scrolling (robbed creatures should not be highlighted again)
* sound volume seems low
* inventory should rearrange itself when needed

Did you try deleting the video files? They're mp4's iirc. no idea if that will work or not.

Recycler works fine once you find the upgrade machines. Once you get the upgrades they get irrelevant as you get access to a huge amount of medkits, energy packs and the game's most exotic weapons.

I like the cargo lift to store mission items that would otherwise clog the inventory.

In my case the items didn't disappear as I dropped a machine gun in one of the grooves jettison rooms to pick another weapon, once I returned the weapon dropped was still there.

I do miss the notes on the map as well. Now I had to pull out my cellphone IRL and take note of the game codes as they appeared.

Inventory should get an improvement as ammo of the same type should pile together automatically.
Icons for ammo types are kinda difficult to make up due to their size.
Also, all the wares' on/off states aren't shown on screen at all times like in the original game. You have to press Tab to go into inventory to see them, to see if they are using energy because you accidentally left them on.

Also gone is Sense-around picture-in-picture camera view that shows what is behind you.

But all in all I'm still pretty impressed with the remake. Many areas have been redesigned and even enlarged (like the Storage level, which is now humongous) and still retain the feel of the original game. Cyberspace is much improved, and it is now a pretty good 360-degree mini-shooter, I find the control panel mini-puzzles quite engaging as well, even at 3 difficulty.

Late Reply: Agreed these are all valid questions.
my personal wtf's WHY Addressed to the Devs - Questions:
- Why Eliminate the Notations on the Map ? | That was an added benefit for the Players as well as the Hacker.
- Why is the Main Volume of the Game so Low. even with an Audio System and NO Audio System Present; it still sounds very low overall. in comparison to games that are roughly the same " demographic " the audio is low overall. its gud to see I'm NOT the only 1 who noticed this. thank you OP.
- Why the Gun Play Difference ? - in SS OG the gunplay dealing with most NPC's were ......more fluid. (even for its time line) it still was.....more fluid. they gave you the options of side stepping - stafing (Strafing was huge in games like FPS, FPP, Storyline Games,etc) you were ABLE to shift-adjust the camera angles of "YOU" the hacker so you can move more fluid. idk how else to put it. but it just felt more Fluid in the Ol School SS. but i have been enjoying the SS Remake mostly tho.

I will agree 100% of your re-ply post. because everything you speak about is true. However; i can also agree with a few things he's mentioning about in the game :

* i think he was mentioning the recycler | cargo lift due to them being NOT ENOUGH ROOM. ( personally - i can agree wit this as well) the only 1 i feel is too small imo - is the Cargo Life. the Cargo Lift needs a bit of "expansion" update. to accommodate a bit more room NOT exploding more room .just a bit more. IMHO (dont hate me) i feel should be able to fit a MK III Rifle + Sparq Beam (upgraded or Non-upgraded) | Abe Gharin's Head (from Level 3 Maintenance) with Ease and no struggling to squeeze stuff in that damn Cargo Lift. see the GREAT awesome thing about the OG SS was you were able to carry damn near everything in that Entire Game. (yes, it was the 90's Lol) but still. the Concept was gud.

and yes we get it that for immersion purposes-common sense of logic. Hey you can't walk around with ALL this Stuff. just cause your damn near a cybernetic - human being with neural implants all over. doesn't mean your a walking Walmart Store either........Lmaooo. soo I do agree wit you as well. once you pick the inventory expansions your pretty much gud to go in the Non-Modded Game. now with mods. they have mods where it greatly expands the Inventory cart on you and you can fit almost - ALMOST ( Not everything lol) but a great deal more, thus making the "Survival" of the game more smoothly.

* Player Movements seem to be right on par' with this game. the SS OG player movement was horrendous...lol (again it was the 1990's lol ) and Origin Entertainment @ the Then Time had said : " your walking awkward because your this human with all sorts of Cybnetic Implants all over your body, your limbs have been altered-your head-neural activity as well. soo yeah your supposed to be walking awkward, kinda off, etc etc - but in SS Remake. IMHO - I feel the hacker walks waaaaaaay better, runs better (in SS OG his running was Great, but it was more of like a linear run. just a direct run. in SS Remake his running feels a bit more ,,,, i'm running through the station kinda sorta) which is WHAT i think ND's DEV's intentions were.

* NO Notes on the Map it appears EVERYONE Agrees on this one......LMaoo. idk why the F*ck they took it away. i just don't. like you many of us while playing have to pull out our cellphone in order to keep track of those damn codes. lol

* Lastly : agree 1000x yup Ammo needs to be Compressed together or as you put it : " should be pile together " less headache, less extra work that doesn't need to focus being taken away from the main story that your trying to complete. to solve all of this: they need to give an update that just "merges" Ammo types less waste less space. and yes icons are kinda difficult cause they're too tiny. idk, maybe they need to have the highlight when you hover over them ?? idk there is a solution.
