It may be old news for you but since Night Dive seems to be planning to re-release System Shock 1 all downloads regarding System Shock portable had to be deleted.

I still have my original CD and DOSBox but then i miss out on the perfect mouse mod and resolution options.
I used to keep a backup of SSP but it got deleted and i never thought it would be a problem to get it back again...and now..here i am :/

Is it possible to provide a download link just for the tool without any files from SystemShock?


Otherwise i would have to wait until Citadel is ready and playable or Night Dive releases a Sourceport(i dream of something like Descent Rebirth or zDoom)...which could take...YEARS.

SSP will return is some streamlined, non-copyright infringing form (wip name is SS1tool) - I'm already looking into this, hopefully I'll have a test version ready by the end of the week.

Looks like ND implemented SSP right into their version. So, it's all good. Only $5.99 right now makes it an automatic buy.

that sounds like ripping off SSP if they're not paid royalties. would encourage boycotting ND if true.

I don't know that they did that. But the changes and enhancements are similar.

Instabought.

So what are the differences between this and the Portable version? Never tried that one, I always played the original only.

OMG! Already bought it. But it seems that only the english version is available(it was french, german and english before).
I hope GoG and/or NightDive will also release the missing languages, maybe even the japanese version?

Tested it right away with my Netbook and...it runs perfectly fine in 854x480!
There seems to be a small problem though....i cannot use the "a"-key to move left. It was ok when i started but after the Email from rebecca i couldn't move left anymore. I restarted the game and reloaded my savegame but the issue remains.
Guess i should open a new thread eh?

it's actually SHLINK (and other mods) from Malba Tahan. and don't worry, the legal stuff has been worked out - systemshock.org actually cooperated with Night Dive on this release.

the default controls can be changed by editing the cfg file in the game folder, if need be.

The Enhanced Edition has the French & German languages. You have to go to "Option" within the game to change to your desired language :)

yes, but the audio is missing, just checked, and the german and french voiceoves have indeed been removed. will let Night Dive know.
