It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

steam version has been mentioned by Night Dive, no idea about mac and linux, but it seems like it's possible to get EE running via wine.

EE is currently missing the German and French audio, but yes, the full ISO will always be larger, compression and some redundant stuff.

didn't have a thorough look at the controls yet, so feel free to experiment.

I have experimented, and been able to customize a few controls to a more preferred liking for me, such as changing the mouse sensitivity as well as binding the fullscreen automap to tab (by the way, is there a way to bind the fullscreen automap as a toggle? I've only been able to bind opening it to tab, i still have to use esc or press the "done" button in-game to close it), but I see no way to customize weapon hotkeys or the hardware hotkeys, sadly.
I'm not able to play EE. I run the application and get a splash screen or 2 followed by the intro animation. (different each time, but that's as far as it gets - sometimes not even past the first splash screen). After that point, I get the standard "Program has stopped working" window and the game closes.

I've tried modifying sshock.ini to turn off full screen and I get the same results, just in a window instead of a fullscreen splash screen. I've tried tinkering with some of the other video options, but it's always the same.

I"m using a live account and never had any other account on this machine, so the live account IS an admin account.

I've also tried all of the windows compatibility modes on the executable as well as running as administrator.

If there's any debug/diagnostic capture that I can run to provide better data, just let me know.

yes, the very first link at the top of this topic (see IMPORTANT).
Is there a way to invert the mouselook? I didn't see anything in the options.
No 1080p support?
Hey voodoo47, I was about to do my very first System Shock playthroguh using an install of System Shock Portable that I grabbed from systemshock.org, but I'd like to know your recommendation if I should grab this new Enhanced Edition instead (cost is not a factor)?

I having the same issue. But, on a Win7 64-bit machine.
That reminds me, does the old save files from original DOS versions work on Enhanced Edition?
you could try setting a custom resolution, but as mentioned, anything beyond 1024*768 may not work properly.

yeah, grab EE, it's better. SSP/CD saves should be compatible.

using DOS saves is probably not a good idea (see the orig LGS readme).

see the first link on the first post for crash related stuff.

just wanted to say WOW !!
Just like to say:

I followed the instructions, installed that text patch, and it's worked beautifully :)

PC is a Pentium running Windows 10 and a Radeon 6770.
Phil,

Can you able to run enhanced edition with Roland Audio?

mehmetkuc: Phil,

Can you able to run enhanced edition with Roland Audio?
Yes!

I have VirtualMIDISynth installed and tried various SoundFonts. They all sound a bit different. Crisis SoundFont crashes the game, but the others work fine.

voodoo47: - mouselook mode is unsuitable for cyberspace, disable it when plugged in.
How so? Given, I've only played through one cyberspace section so far, but I had mouselook on and left mouse button added thrust whilst right mouse button fired a weapon (once I'd picked up the relevant software item). I think the A and D keys still worked, too, for sideways movement. If this isn't the intended cyberspace control style and isn't recommended, how should it be played?
