Is there any way to know when SS2 EE is released? Along with the new 'The Thing' I'm very curious about these games from Nightdive.

I presume this is the same version the announced about 8 months ago (on a YouTube trailer I watched from Nightdive Studios), right? This game could really be visually great with casted shadows, but I'm sure this EE is not of that kind.

I actually couldn't help but notice that SS2 Enhanced has been completely removed from Steam and I can find no mention of its existence anywhere official anymore except for its GOG page. This is super unfortunate since it was promised that System Shock remake preorders would get SS2 Enhanced for free. Has it been canceled sneakily?

Is there any confirmation if those that purchase SS2 will get access to SS2 Enhanced Edition when it does come out?

it's not like already owning SS2 on GOG/steam will prevent you from buying EE on the platform of your choice. whether it's going to be discounted, that remains to be seen.

I'm a little confused by this post. Looking around that forum, it looks like it's an unofficial modding community, not related to Nightdive's Enhanced Edition.

How does this relate to the actual EE project? Are the modders there assisting the devs?

it's an EE dev confirming they started to work on the Shock2 Community Project EE integration. probably the most important milestone so far.
