I'd uploaded SS2Tool v4.8 to Mega but the GoG forum isn't allowing me to post the link for those of you that need it. Sorry folks :(

Glad I planned ahead for a change and grabbed everything from them as soon as I heard news of the re-release on gog

/smug hehe ;p

Now if only this damn job thing wasn't getting in the way so I could go home and actually play it. /notsosmuganymore

I didnt know about the rerelease until I got the mail.
Don't have access to them sadly as I am at work :( Even so I personally would be wary of doing that without the original mod owners permission. I know it would probably help a lot of people but it can get to be a bit of a nightmare for the mod authors themselves.

Anyhow good luck to you all. Hope you manage to get the updates and enjoy running through SS2 (modded or otherwise.) Five more hours for me before I get to enjoy it, suppose I had better go do some work in the meantime booo :(

Well, I've a great upload speed and could probably make a torrent of a bunch mods but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post torrent links even if they're legit and I've seen more than a few people here reluctant to use it.

As for the Cutscene in high-res, where is the download link for the latest version? I can't find it.

Do you really need to use SS2Tool since the GOG version is already 2.4? Does it actually change anything other than the mod folder name?

I dont think so, someone said something about fixing cutsceens in certain resolutions. perhapse someone else would know better. All mods linked here work fine without it, and Gog did a pretty good job of getting the game to run right off of the bat.

I installed SS2Tool v4.8 and I want to install SHTUP b6 and Rebirth. Do I copy the root directories of those mods into DataPermMods, or do I just dump their contents?

Should my DataPermMods folder look like this:
