To install ADaOB I just dump everything in the same place as the other mods except newsky? Its instructions are a bit weird and you don't mention it needs anything special in the OP. Is it going to overwrite any of the other mods or something, should I install it first or last if so?

I don't often post on gog forums, but when I do it is to say a great thanks for this thread! Good job voodoo47.
I just tried Tacticool as well and it doesn't work. Will these mods not work on saved games or something? I think that's it.
make sure you

-patch up with the ss2tool FIRST
-drop mods into the DataPermMods folder (NOT datapermanentmods)
-the modded files need to be in the DataPermMods directly, that means NOT in their own folders (DataPermMods/shtup6/modded files is bad, DataPermMods/modded files is good), see here.

attaching a screenshot of a proper DataPermMods folder.

voodoo47, thanks a lot for your helpful posts!

Regarding cutscene mod, what file(s) should I download and do they also go to \DataPermMods ?
@Voodoo,
Thanks so much for the google mirrors. Can't wait for my first heart attack moment!
Just wanted to say thanks Voodoo47 for the post. /Tips hat.

Thanks!
Some of the folders for the mods have the same name, like SHTUP and one of the other Hi-Res texture mods. So when I go to install them both, it asks me to overwrite the previous folder. Such as "obj" and "fam." Should one overwrite the other, or do I need to go through comparing all the file names?
overwrite when prompted. it's ok.
I'm editing cam_ext config to try and enable HUD scaling as linked to under the Useful Links section of the top post of this thread, but nothing seems to happen. No matter what settings I choose the HUD stays the same size. I'm very confused. Anyone else run into this?
make sure you are editing the file in the SS2 folder, NOT the one in docs. also make sure you are not running the game in the DX6 safemode (you shouldn't be, unless you have enabled it yourself).

Thanks for the reply.

The one I'm editing is in the SS2 folder. I did notice that I get different behavior when I rename the file to cam_external vs cam_ext. When the file is named cam_external my screen flickers and the video driver changes from my video card name to Primary Display. But even so, the HUD stays the same small size.

Could it be that I've used the ss2tool and applied all the mods? I should probably do a clean unmodified install of the game and see if it works.
