It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

My System Shock 2 executable has been deleted by my Norton antivirus software on suspicion of containing a virus and I can't play it now. It did the same thing to my TR! UB expansion EXE and I don't know how to fix it. My brother had given me his copy of SS2 through a portable drive so I can't just re-download it.

EDIT: the file's deletion appears to have been caused by it having a low reputation in the Norton community and having the potential to be a risk but it may not be so. I simply restored the file and it works again but I don't know if it is that safe.

Furthermore, the Tomb Raider UB deletion was caused by Suspicious cloud.5 whose description is given here:

Could anyone tell me if the Unfinished Business EXE is safe or not? (preferably non-Phishermen)

Ssshh, this is in violation of the end-user agreement. DRM free does not mean your license is free to share as you please.

I'm not suggesting you do away with anti-virus as you appear not to be an expert user but you should be aware that, unless you are often attempting to download illegal stuff, porn or accept your browser to install lots of plugins/addons/browsergames, you are very unlikely to invite viruses on your computer and you will only ever get false positives from whichever anti-virus software you are using. Part of it is because many anti-virus solutions are overzealous and thinks any program that is meant to access different parts of the operating system or the computer's memory could be a potential virus. Part of it is also that these companies want to give you a few scares so that you will pay for their premium software suites that will guard every part of your computer like a stone-faced bouncer at a club.

Unless you feel that you are doing a lot of dubious stuff on the internet or have friends who do and send you lots of stuff, you don't need to worry when Norton tells you your files MAY be corrupted by viruses.

Whoops. I didn't know,; it doesn't excuse it but no-one reads those things anyway because they're too long, full of boring jargon I don't understand and the print is deliberately too small to read without eyestrain

Thanks for your advice on the Anti-Virus software though. It should help.
