Played by first bit 10 min ago and loved it but I have a REALLY stupid question about one of the GOG extras. Is that renderer supposed to do anything or is it just a wallpaper?
"Renderer" is the graphics engine. "Render" is the output image from the graphics engine. So that render is just a static image. Wallpaper. Nothing else. I've downscaled it and flashed the thing into my motherboard BIOS so every time i boot up the system, SHODAN face is displayed instead of POST screen. Mwahahaha :D Some motherboards still support stuff like this. I wish there was also a XERXES render, that would also look nice on a POST screen :D

Thanks :)
I was just really curious and I appreciate the quick reply. What I am doing looking at it and not playing the game is another question entirely. :P

Nice, can you explain how to do that?

It's vendor dependent. ASUS mobos have an utility called MyLogo or MyLogo2 that allows for this. Gigabyte has their own tool.

On UEFI systems, even if the utilities support it, I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole after the issues Samsung had recently with their firmware. UEFI implementations tend to be buggy as hell.

This is going to sound stupid, but how do I know which to use?

I have a Gigabyte mobo so i will see if i can find that utility. Thanks for the tip. :)
I just checked the extras - the file in question is called "Render", not "Renderer", so I guess OP was asking about the nice picture of SHODAN, not the renderer of the game.
