Used to be both, I'm hoping both are in this version so I can host a few servers if possible.

Multiplayer did not work 4 player (3 or less generally worked) on 2.4, hopefully that was fixed with this.

Co-op as in playing through the singleplayer campaign with someone else?

Yes it is, from the look of it, it's still connection via IP so both should work. Still at work so can't test.
